Frequently Asked

Tiling Questions, Answered

Straight answers about our services, quoting, timelines and tile care — gathered from the questions Perth homeowners ask us most.

Services

What tiling services do you offer across Perth?

We tile bathrooms, ensuites and wet areas, kitchen splashbacks, floors, feature walls, mosaics and natural stone, plus stone and wall cladding. We also carry out the preparation that makes tiling last: AS 3740-compliant waterproofing, screeding, grouting, sealing and discreet tile repairs. Every service is delivered by our own small family team, never subcontracted out, so the standard never changes between the quote and the finished surface.

Costs & Quotes

How much does tiling cost in Perth?

Every quote is free and tailored to your project. We visit your home, check the substrate and falls, discuss materials and layout, then provide a fixed, itemised price covering preparation, waterproofing, tiling and finishing. You will never receive a vague square-metre guess from us — the quote reflects the real work your home needs, and it holds.

Costs & Quotes

How long does a typical tiling project take?

Most bathroom tiling projects run one to two weeks including waterproofing and screeding cure times, and splashbacks or single rooms are often finished within a few days. Larger floor areas and outdoor spaces take longer depending on substrate preparation. We confirm a clear schedule in writing before we start and keep you updated at every stage of the job.

Process

Do you handle waterproofing and screeding as well?

Yes — as licensed tilers we install certified waterproofing membranes to AS 3740 for all wet areas, and we screed floors to precise falls ready for tiling. Keeping waterproofing, screeding and tiling with one team means one point of accountability: if the membrane, the fall or the tile is not perfect, it is our name on the fix.

Process

Can you work with large-format tiles and stone?

Yes. From 300 × 300mm mosaics to 1200 × 2400mm large-format slabs, we have the gear and the experience: levelling systems, mitred corners, book-matched set-outs and correct adhesive coverage for heavy panels. Large-format work lives or dies on substrate prep and planning, so we set out every wall and floor before the first tile is laid.

Care & Maintenance

How often should stone and grout be resealed?

Penetrating sealers protect stone and grout from stains and moisture, and we recommend resealing natural stone and high-use wet areas every one to two years depending on the material and traffic. We offer professional regrouting and sealing as a standalone service, and we are happy to advise on the right products for keeping your surfaces looking new.
